A tracer for mechanical copy-machining comprises a disc 1 having a series of peripheral recesses 2 defining tracing points 3, the disc 1 being mounted on an arm 4 pivoted at 5. When a tracing point becomes worn through contact with, e.g. a rotating master 6 the disc 1 is rotated to bring a new point into operation.
