Abstract

1,209,162. Pipe support. D. GREGOROVIC. 27 Oct., 1967 [3 Nov., 1966], No. 48966/67. Heading F2P. A pipe support C comprises a collar adapted to embrace a pipe and in the form of an interrupted ring 1<SP>11</SP> each end of which merges with an integral straight extension 1<SP>1</SP>, the extensions 1<SP>1</SP>, 1<SP>1</SP> being parallel and having a fixing device 3 the arrangement of the collar, extensions and fixing device being such that the support positions the pipe without clamping it, to accommodate expansion of the pipe. In the arrangement shown in which a pair of supports is associated with a common fixing device each ring is in two parts and meeting edges of the two parts are notched and recessed respectively and the extensions 1<SP>1</SP> are apertured for a bolt and nut. In another arrangement Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown) in which the support is in one piece, one part (7) surrounds a tube and the free ends are bolted to a tubular support (t). In a further arrangement Figs. 6-8 (not shown), the free ends engage a split tubular support and are secured by a cm ring which engages projections (12).
