Abstract

1,211,748. Band clips. MATHIAS KUTSCH. 16 Jan., 1968 [22 Feb., 1967], No. 2240/68. Heading E2B. A band clip consists of a flat band 1 shaped into a ring with overlapping ends 1a, 1b having cooperating cut-outs 2, 3 and tongues 6, 7 respectively and aligned bores 8, 9 located therebetween, the overlapping ends being deformed between the tongues to embrace a nut 10 on three surfaces thereof, and a clamping member 11 spanning the region between the tongues against which a screw 12 passing through the bores 8, 9 and the nut 10 is adapted to press. In the arrangement according to Fig. 9 (not shown) the overlapping end portions of the clip are non- circular.
