Abstract

1,207,774. Fastenings. ARN. KIEKERT SOHNE. 18 March, 1969 [29 March, 1968], No. 14087/69. Heading E2A. In a door fastening comprises a bolt 23 pivoting in a housing 21, the bolt having two teeth 52a, 52 which are engageable with two notches 50, 51 in a keeper 1 in the safety and fully fastening positions, a pivoting catch retaining detent lever 28 has one arm 27 which engages projecting surface 26 or 25 on the bolt, a pivoting release lever 45 has a finger 46 engaging a finger 47 on the detent lever and a flange 45a engaging the nose 11a on an arm 11 connected to a handle 9 which pivots outwardly to release the bolt. The bolt is also released by an inner pull handle connected to a pivoted lever which abuts a second arm on the detent lever. A pivoting locking lever 40 secured to the release lever 45 is actuated by an outer cylinder lock or by pushing the inner handle and raising a rod 38 connected to the locking lever. The keeper has a rib 17 engaging in a groove lined with a plastics or metal layer 18 in a resilient anti rattle member 20.
