Abstract

1,206,076. Grain washing machine. BUHLER A.G. GEB. 14 March, 1969 [15 March, 1968], No. 13620/69. Heading A2Q. A grain washing machine comprises a housing 1 in which is mounted a washing trough comprising chambers 2 and 3 containing washing worms 5, 6 and stone discharging worms 7, 8, the housing and/or washing trough being made of a plastics material e.g. polyester. The bottom 4 of the trough is removable. The side walls 10, 11 have outwardly extending edges 31 which have recesses 32 for receiving the housing cover 33. In use grain is fed in at one end, and passed through the trough by worms 7, 8 in the opposite direction to the grain. The washed grain is fed to a centrifugal drier.
