A post for wire mesh fencing comprises a plastics or plastics coated metal tube 1 filled with concrete and closed by a plastics cap 8, a strainer bar 9, winer brackets 4a, 4b for the wires and a strut 6 being secured thereto by bolts 2, 2a, 2b, 3. Horizontal wires are secured to winder brackets 4a, 4b and wound to desired tension and wire mesh fencing suspended therefrom. The wires, wire mesh and brackets may all be P.V.C. coated.
