Abstract

1,203,128. Slide projectors; focusing. ERNST LEITZ G.m.b.H. Nov. 7, 1968 [Nov.18, 1967], No.52762/68. Heading G2A. [Also in Division G1] An automatic focusing device for slide projectors comprises an optical system which directs a beam 4 of light for reflection by a slide 7 on to a double photo-electric cell 16 in a differential circuit for controlling the focusing of the slide, a double field lens 13 splitting the beam into two separate beams. Reversible motor 19 in the differential circuit drives rack and pinion focusing devices 20, 21, until the reflected beam falls on the dividing line of the lenses 13a, 13b, the slide then being focused. Surfaces 15a, 15b, completely certain the split beams 4a which may be focused or non-focused.
