Abstract

1,202,657. Spray producers. WOMA-APPARATEBAU WOLFGANG MAASBERG & CO. G.m.b.H. 30 May, 1969 [19 Nov., 1968], No. 27632/69. Addition to 1,143,678. Heading B2F. A nozzle for sand- or grit-blasting comprising a body 8 from which a jet pipe 4 projects from one end and a coaxial sand injection union 2 from the other, the union being formed integrally with a portion 10 inserted in the body and formed with a circumferentially annular channel 5 into which a high pressure water inlet 9 opens and with obliquely disposed holes 6 running forwardly from the channel to open into the jet pipe as described in Specification 1,143,678 has a tube 3 fitted into and extending substantially through the union and integral part. The tube may be made of wear-resistant material such as a refractory carbide. The jet pipe may converge with the same degree of convergence as the holes 6.
