Abstract

1,202,305. Adjustable brushes. SCHORLING & CO. WAGGONBAU. 6 Sept., 1968, No. 42462/68. Heading A4K. [Also in Division E1] A centrifugal brush consists of eight strip brushes 18 mounted on the strip holder 17 and these are radially controlled by "star mountings 19". Within the hollow shaft 21 is a spindle 22 carrying a left hand thread 23 and a right hand thread 24 on each of which is a nut 27 and 28 respectively, by rotating nut 25 the bolts are caused to move together or apart, thus horizontal motion being converted to vertical movement of the brushes by the rods 31 thus causing the brushes to be raised or lowered.
