Abstract

1,202,291. Rotorcraft. MESSERSCHMITTBOLKOW - BLOHM G.m.b.H. 17 Jan., 1968 [25 Feb., 1967], No. 2594/68. Heading B7W. A rotorcraft rotor having blades hinged for flapping and pitch-change movements having collective and cyclic pitch change control (e.g. by a swashplate, 15 control rod 22 and horn 25 arrangement) has the flapping angle of a blade whose axis points forward v transmitted (e.g. via swashplates 31, 32 and a link 37) to influence the collective pitch change (e.g. supplied by rod 42) so that an upward flapping position decreases the collective blade pitch (and vice versa). In the embodiment illustrated the rotating swashplate 31 is suspended by links 33, 35 from the blades and the degree of influence of the flapping on the collective pitch change can be varied by adjusting the position of a pin 41 on the end of rod 42 in a slot in a lever 39.
