Abstract

119,992. Robinson, M. W., and Shannon, H. April 5, 1918. Turning.-In a tool-holder for lathes &c., angular adjustment in a vertical plane is effected by a pair of pillow blocks g, h formed respectively with convex and concave contact surfaces, and of a width to pass into a slot in the tool-holder. The upper surface of the block h is roughened as at i to ensure a firm tool engagement. Adjustment in a horizontal plane is effected through a swivelscrewed stem l which engages a T-nut m mounted in a T.slot in the machine. The arrangement permits a number of holders to be closely assembled for multiple tool-work.
