Abstract

1,196,739. Boxes; closing cartons. E. S. & A. ROBINSON Ltd. 19 Sept., 1967 [19 Sept., 1966], No. 41702/66. Headings B8C and B8P. A tubular cardboard or like box comprises four wall panels having extensions which together form one end of the assembled box, two opposite wall panels being provided with extensions of a size substantially equal to the cross-section of the assembled box and the other two wall panels being provided with extensions each divided by fold lines into three triangular panels, the extensions being joined at adjacent edges. When the end is formed the extensions of a size substantially equal to the box crosssection are folded in overlapping relationship and the three triangular panels are folded so as to provide means for handling the box, Fig. 3. The triangular panels may be secured by adhesive tape, staples or adhesive.
