Abstract

1,195,507. Endless conveyers. BARNES DRILL CO. 13 Sept., 1968 [13 Dec., 1967], No. 43645/68. Heading B8A. [Also in Division B2] A scraper conveyer 24 for removing solids from the floor of a settling tank 12 and drag them up an incline 21 to cause them to be discharged into a receptacle 23 comprises scraper bars 33, 154, 154<SP>1</SP>, carried by endless chains trained around sprocket wheels 25, 27, 52, 53 mounted on shafts 28, 29. The shaft 29 is driven through a belt 37 and a speed reducer by an electric motor. A pivotable wiper 38 is positioned to clean the bars as they move over the receptacle 23.
