Abstract
1,195,149. Capacitors; transformers and inductors; circuit assemblies. VITRAMON Inc. 8 Nov., 1968 [7 Dec., 1967], No. 53066/68. Headings H1M, H1R and H1T. Capacitive or inductive functions are provided in thick or thin film microcircuits by embedding electrodes in the dielectric substrate, the electrodes being in sets 14, 16 and (18) (Fig. 1, not shown) parallel to the major surfaces of the substrate, pairs of terminals 20, 22 for each set having a portion embedded in the substrate to connect together electrodes of like polarity, and a second portion 24 of the terminals contacting conductive lands such as 34 deposited on at least a major surface. Portions of the conductive lands extending on to the minor surfaces connect the capacitive or inductive functions to external circuitry. A portion (30) (Fig. 1) of one conductive land may be of cermet material to provide a resistive function.
