Abstract
1304510 Filter assemblies AMP Inc 15 Oct 1971 [9 Nov 1970] 47979/71 Addition to 1272347 Heading H1R A lossy radio frequency filter comprises a semi-conducting ceramic element on to which a layer of dielectric material, e.g. barium titanate has been deposited directly. In one embodiment Fig. 2, a tubular ceramic element 5 has a dielectric layer 6 deposited on the outer surface, the surface of the dielectric and inner surface of the ceramic being metal plated, layer 7. Gaps 8 and 9 serve to isolate earthing contact A and centre pin contact B, which accomodates a live pin, Fig. 3, not shown. Various embodiments comprising layers of ceramic, dielectric, and metal may be used, one of such, for use on a circuit board, Fig. 4 (not shown), comprises a ceramic element on one side of which is deposited a layer of dielectric, the other surface of the dielectric being metal plated to provide a contact for components on the board, the other side of the ceramic being metal plated, the metal plate being electrically connected to an earthing conductor on the printed circuit panel.
