Abstract

1,194,812. Aerator. RICHARDS OF ROCKFORD, Inc. 30 Dec., 1968 [15 Jan., 1968], No. 61674/68, Heading B1C. An aerator comprises a float 11 supporting a tube 16 which is immersed in the liquid to be aerated, a shaft 20 carrying a propeller 19 rotatable within the tube, and a duct 35 spaced around the propeller within tube 16. The latter tube may be provided with vanes to deflect the liquid flowing to the propeller at an appropriate angle thereto. Air may be induced into the liquid flowing between tube 16 and duct 35 through tube 51. In use, liquid is pumped up the tube and dispersed outwardly by deflector 25.
