Abstract

1,194,713. Hair securing clip. S. J. POMPEIL. 2 Jan., 1967 [19 May, 1966; 6 Sept., 1966], No. 40956/69. Divided out of 1,194,711. Heading A4V. A clip 30 for securing the hair around a generally cylindrical curler comprises a resilient arcuate curler engaging portion ending in a pair of legs 32 and 34, a portion 38 of one leg being bent outwardly from the other leg, and an integral tab 31 on the curler-engaging portion for manipulating the clip. The extent of the curlerengaging portion is denoted by the hatched area 33. The bent portion 38 of the leg is to assist opening of the clip when it is pushed against the curler (see Fig. 1). The tab is preferably an open loop in the arcuate portion, constricted by a neck 35. The legs may have spherical ends 39, or be otherwise blunted.
