Abstract

1,192,766. Vehicle suspensions. BAYERISCHE MOTOREN WERKE A.G. 20 July, 1967 [22 July, 1966], No. 33432/67. Heading B7D. A motor vehicle suspension comprises a transverse guide arm 6, a telescopic vibration damper 2 which is fast with a wheel mounting member 5, and a coil spring 3 which, in the unstressed state before positioning has the shape 31 whereby, when positioned, it exerts a bending moment upon the vibration damper in opposition to that produced by the load. The axis of the coil spring may be offset to augment the effect.
