1,192,589. Corrugating; jointing. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDERS CABLES Ltd. 10 Sept., 1968 [11 Sept., 1967], No. 41375/67. Headings B3E and B3V. [Also in Division H1] In the impregnation and sheathing of an oilfilled electric cable (see Division H1) the extruded sheath 8 is deformed inwardly about an elastomeric material 2 by a swaging tool, Fig. 5, in a series of circular depressions to ensure a vacuum-tight seal between the sheath and material. The swaging tool 19 comprises flexible chains 21 carrying rollers 23 which can be tightened around the cable sheath by a bolt 22.
