Abstract

1,190,221. Table combined with chair. H. P. KYLL€NEN and L. I. SYREN. 26 July, 1967, No. 34296/67. Heading A4H. A chair convertible into a table comprises a back 2 and a seat 3 hinged together at 7 and either supported on a main frame 1 to form a chair or supported as shown in dotted lines 2<SP>1</SP>, 3<SP>1</SP> on a pivoted strut assembly 4<SP>1</SP>, 5<SP>1</SP>, 6<SP>1</SP> and on the upper horizontal part 8 of the main frame 1 to form a table. The back 2 is pivoted to the upper horizontal part 8 of the main frame. The strut assembly comprises parts 4 which are either pivoted at 9 to the front main frame 1 or are telescoped in the front legs of the chair. When not in use the strut assembly is swung so that the parts 4 are under the seat and the parts 5, 6 are located along the back of the main frame 1. The strut assembly can also be used as a leg support. The seat is locked to the main frame or to the strut assembly by a clip 11.
