Abstract

1,196,278. Desks and chairs combined. T. LEONHARD. 25 Sept., 1967 [23 Sept., 1966], No. 43586/67. Heading A4H. A pillar 3 secured to the floor 2, e.g. by engaging rails, has a laterally projecting support 4 carrying a seat 5 and a back rest 6, and a writing top 7 is supported at the upper end of the pillar and projects away from the seat. The height of the seat may be adjustable and the support 4 may be pivoted around the pillar and/or the seat is rotatably arranged on the support. The seat may be tiltable. The top 7 may be arranged symmetrically or asymmetrically with respect to the pillar and may be foldable. The pillar may support two seats and two tops arranged symmetrically and a receptacle (12) may be arranged between the two seats. An arm rest (13) is pivoted to the pillar.
