1,189,878. Stowable roofs. GERHARD DREWS oHG. 25 July, 1967 [25 July, 1966; 23 Dec., 1966], No. 34122/67. Heading B7B. A vehicle roof part 1 has rear quarters 2 mounted for sliding in guides 15, 16 secured to the vehicle body and the boot lid 5 is pivoted at the rear of the vehicle and operated by levers 6 pivoted at 27 to the body. Movements of the roof part 1 and the lid 5 are effected by an endless chain 9 entrained around sprockets 10, 11, 12 and 13 one of which sprockets is driven by an electric motor, the roof being connected to the chain by the cable 20 and the levers 6 by the cable 14, an elastic cord 25 initiating the return of the lever 6.
