1,185,300. Pump motors. UNELEC. 8 March, 1967 [24 Nov., 1966], No. 56700/69. Divided out of 1,184,176. Heading H2A. [Also in Division F1 In an electric motor-pump in which the pump impeller 13 is mounted on the same bearing bush 8 as the planar motor rotor, impurities are deflected away from the rotor into the delivery by a deflector 29 on the rotor. An additional baffle 30 prevents dirt getting into the air-gap, and the bearing is protected by a cover 28. The bearing is of a material, e.g. graphite or ceramic, lubricated by the pumped liquid.
