1,184,687. Turbine rotors. PRVNI BRNENSKA STROJIRNA, ZAVODY KLEMENTA GOTTWALDA, NARODNI PODNIK. Aug. 25, 1967, No. 39238/67. Headings F1G and F1T. A turbine rotor 1, e. g. a gas turbine rotor, has a row of arcuate cover segments 2, 3 arranged between the roots of adjacent axially spaced rows of rotor blades 4, 5 and each segment comprises two axially adjacent halves. The cover segments are mounted in a circumferential groove in the rotor and the row is closed by a segment (8, Fig. 3, not shown), with a wedge (10) between the halves. Cooling air passages (9, Fig. 2, not shown), extend through the segments. The joins between adjacent segment halves are sealed by plates 7.
