Abstract

1,182,953. Feeding and delivering sheets. MABEG MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. NACHF. HENSE & PLEINES G.m.b.H. & CO. 14 July, 1967 [15 July, 1966; 29 June, 1967], No. 32423/67. Heading B8R. As sheets are withdrawn one-by-one by a separator (e.g. a suction cup) 14, from a first stack I, supported on an auxiliary table comprising support bars 13, raised by lifting means 17 and 18, sheets cut from a web 6 by a transverse cutter 4, 5 are delivered by rollers 10, 11 to a stack II supported on table 7, until stack II reaches a predetermined height, whereupon table 7 is raised to combine stacks I and II upon removal of the support bars 13. Table 7 is lowered as sheets are delivered to stack II until engagement with limit switch 26 causes lifting of the table to unite the stacks, whereupon support bars 13 are withdrawn and inserted in grooves 20 of table 7. Table 7 and support bars 13 are raised as sheets are removed from the combined stacks. When the combined stack has reached a predetermined state of depletion, table 7 is lowered to receive further sheets from cutter 4, 5, again leaving the pile supported on bars 13, and the cycle is repeated. Rollers 10 and 11 may be replaced by a sheet collector which delivers the sheets in batches to stack II.
