Novel compounds of the general formulµ and (R 1 = Cl or CF 3 , R 2 =H, C 1-4 alkyl, C 2-4 alkanoyl, C 2-5 alkoxycarbonyl, C 3-6 cycloalkyl (C 1-4 alkyl), phenyl or di-(C 1-4 alkyl)-amino (C 1-4 alkyl), R 3 = C 1-4 alkyl or C 3-6 alkenyl, R 4 = H or C 2-4 alkanoyl) and their acid addition salts are prepared by condensing a compound of the formula (X=halogen) with H 2 NCH 2 CH 2 NHR 5 (R 5 =H, C 1-4 alkyl, C 3-6 cycloalkyl (C 1-4 alkyl), phenyl or di-(C 1-4 alkyl) amino (C 1-4 alkyl)) optionally followed by catalytic hydrogenation, acylation and/or salt formation. The compounds of the invention are tranquilizers, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them together with a carrier.
