In wire conveyer belts of the kind described in Specification 853,074, comprising a number of parallel, transversely extending, substantially rigid metal rods 11, and a number of belt sections each comprising a multiplicity of parallel, longitudinally extending wire link elements 13 pivotally connected between each pair of adjacent rods 11, with one or more transverse wire brace elements 20 secured to the link elements 13 of each section at some or all of their points of intersection X therewith, at each point of intersection X, one of the two elements has a kink accommodating the other element whereby a surface part of the kinked element adjacent the kink is co-planar with a support surface of the other element.
