Abstract

1,165,953. Developing electrostatic images. RANK XEROX Ltd. Oct.14, 1966 [Oct. 18, 1965], No.46099/66. Heading G2H. A container 105 for xerographic toner has openings 108 through which the toner is dispersed to a cascade developing apparatus when inserted in a xerographic machine Fig.1 (not shown). The container is rotated by a belt (130, Fig. 3, not shown) driven by the developer apparatus. The container is supported, in the machine, by a stationary grid 116, Fig. 6, attached to an adjustable grid 141, Fig. 7, such that relative adjustment of the grids varies the flow through openings 117 and 141. A tear strip 110, (Fig. 3), seals the container before insertion in the machine.
