The Specification describes the same apparatus as that described with reference to Figs. 1, 2 of Specification 1,159,791, but the claims are directed to the feeding of a single row of cigarettes or other rod-like articles in a row of which the direction of movement is transverse to the axes of the articles, in which the row moves along a curved path and in which a moving band lying along one side of the row, on the outside of the curve, presses the articles against a curved co-operating moving surface by virtue of the band being in tension.
