Abstract

1,158,683. Cushions. ETABS. BERTRAND FAURE. 20 July, 1967 [27 July, 1966], No. 33497/67. Heading A4M. A car seat cushion of moulded plastics is provided on its upper surface with a cover 6 or 11 peripherally anchored in a slot 2 or 10 in the upper surface of the cushion at or adjacent its periphery without the use of separate retaining members. In a first embodiment, Fig. 2, a thickened edge portion 7 of the cover 6 engages in a groove (3) at the bottom of the slot 2. In a second embodiment, Fig. 6, the cover 11 comprises two textile sheets 16, 17 enclosing a resilient mass 18 and welded together at their peripheries and along longitudinal lines 19. A T-section element 12 has one arm 15 secured to the periphery of the cover 11 and another arm 13 with a thickened end engaged in a slot 10 in the cushion 9.
