Abstract

To form a web with increased transverse strength one or more fibre entangling rollers 2 are arranged above the doffer 1. A common fibre entangling roller may be provided to act on cylinder 4 and doffer 1, see Fig. 2 not shown. The diameter of fleece forming roller 3 is less than that of the doffer. The directions of rotation of the rotary components are as shown in the Fig.
