Abstract

1,153,556. Oil burners. ASIA SEKIYU K.K. 15 Feb., 1968, No. 7576/68. Heading F4T. An oil burner comprises a container 10 supplied with fuel oil through a pipe 1 and with primary combustion air under pressure through a pipe 2 terminating in a nozzle 3 within a Venturi 5, the bar pressure within the Venturi causing cyanified fuel oil from container 10 to enter the Venturi and there extending over the Venturi a plate 8, which deflects a portion of the exhaust gases into container 10 to cyanify the fuel oil. The container 10 is supported in an outer housing 13 by an annular plate having apertures 7 through which secondary combustion air is supplied to space 16 in order to complete combustion of the exhaust gases not downwardly deflected by plate 8. The plate 8 is supported by metal blades 9. Primary combustion air is supplied by a blower 11.
