Abstract

1,152,622. Dispensing articles. VENDO CO. 7 March, 1967 [7 March, 1966], No. 10568/67. Heading A4T. In an article-dispensing machine with a display container for one article, the articles rest on horizontal hinged shelves 66, 64, Fig. 3, arranged in a vertical stack which fall, as at 66, to release the articles successively on pushing a button after coin insertion. The top shelf is left empty and presses a feeler 50 to hold a rod 43 pivoting at 45 so that a rod arm 42, Figs. 3, 6, supports a hinged shelf 32 for an article 28 viewed via glass front 14 in the display container 12 in the door 16 of the machine. When the stack is empty, release of the top shelf allows a spring 54, compressed by crank 74 and finger 56 engaging abutment 76 on closing door 16, to rotate rod 43 and arm 42 to release shelf 32 and dispense the displayed article.
