Abstract

1,152,608. Sparking plugs. TOYO KOGYO K. K. and NIPPON TOKUSHO TOGYO K. K. Nov. 29, 1967 [Dec. 2, 1966], No. 54423/67. Heading F1B. A rotary piston engine casing 7 has an ignition opening extending to a combustion chamber 8, the spark plug including a shell 1 detachably mounted in the ignition opening. The ignition opening has a conical surface 5 which narrows in a direction away from the lower end of the shell. The outer electrode 4 of the sparking plug in part projects along and is spaced from the conical surface 5. This minimises the distance from the lower end of the outer electrode to the combustion chamber.
