Abstract

[Also in Division G2] A squeegee device for cine film comprises a pair of squeegee rollers with means for applying pressure thereto, said rollers being geared together by teeth on one roller engaging with indentations on the other roller such that both rollers rotate at the same speed. The teeth may engage the perforations of the film. The rollers may also carry a further set of teeth and reciprocal indentations at the other end thereof, or may be further geared together by equidiameter meshed gear wheels on the end of each roller. The two rollers may be mounted by their spindles in floating bearings on separate frame posts which are pivotable apart, the rollers being urged together by springs. Two sets of rollers in series urged together by common springs may be employed.
