Abstract

1,148,677. Daylight reflectors. TALIUM A.G. July, 1966 [16 July, 1965], No. 31863/ 66. Heading E1R. Apparatus for controlling the distribution of incident day-light into a room comprises a plurality of light reflecting elements 3 each having a plurality of concave deformations (not shown) formed in a reflecting surface thereof, the elements being arranged one above another in spaced relationship in a day light opening to the room. The elements may be rotatable about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axes thereof to vary the inclination of the elements individually. The underside of the strips may be metallised. A zone of the window through which a person sitting down or standing, would view may be left free of strips 3. The elements may be prisms and may contain a source of artificial light therewithin; and more than one surface may have the concave deformations. If the elements are fixed they may be cast integrally with the transparent sheet or may be combined in an insulating glass pane. The frame containing all the reflectors may be rotatable.
