1,147,824. Mechanism for sloping trenchsides. CLEVELAND TRENCHER CO. 11 July, 1966 [21 July, 1965], No. 31084/66. Heading E1F. Mechanism for association with a trench excavator for sloping a side of an excavation comprises an upwardly and outwardly extending, driven shaft 34 along which discs 44 are so mounted as to be parallel with each other whilst being obliquely disposed to the shaft so that, as the mechanism is rotated, the cutting means 50 of the discs 44 and blades 52 extending between the discs have an oscillatory cutting motion.
