Abstract
1,143,768. Charging carbonizing chambers. DORSTENER EISENGEISSEREI UND MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 23 May, 1966 [25 May, 1965], No. 22793/66. Heading F4B. Apparatus for stacking blocks 20 of coal fines on to a conveyer belt running through a carbonization chamber comprises a toggle type rotary table press (6) in a frame 5, a removal device 10 moving the blocks into spaced relationship on a conveyer belt 7, a stacker 11 mounted on rollers 14 on a runway 15 at right angles to said conveyer adapted to stack the blocks on a table parallel with the conveyer, and a stack grabber 23 also mounted on said runway 15 to lift stacks of blocks off the table on to the carbonization chamber conveyer 9. Stacker 11 comprises a plate carrying grab arms 19 operated in pairs by hydraulic motors 26, said plate being moved by toothed racks 17 driven by motor 16. Linkage 22 connects the toggle system of the press with the removal device 10 and the conveyer belt 7 synchronizing their movements. The stack grabber 23 has longer arms 24 than the arms 19, said arms 24 being formed at their bottom ends with shapesupporting strips. Once the stacks have been built up on the table to the required height, the grabber 23 moves the complete stacks 20b on to the carbonization chamber conveyer 9.
