Abstract

1,143,742. Cooling liquids. ALLEN ELECTRONICS Inc. 2 March, 1966, No. 9131/66. Heading F4H. [Also in Division A4] Liquid to be dispensed from a unit 20 is cooled by a thermo-electric module 67 whose hot end is in contact with a finned plate 59 over which air is passed by a fan 66. Liquid flows from a bottle 42 to a chamber 41 and is forced to flow in heat exchange contact with the cold end of the module 67 by an inverted U-section baffle 35. Thermostatic control is provided. The bottle 42 has an opening 54 which is normally closed by a spring-loaded ball 56. When the bottle is placed in the unit, a pin 55 on the baffle 37 moves the ball to allow liquid flow from the bottle.
