1,140,720. Packaging machines; feeding textile bales. MENSCHNER G.m.b.H., [trading as JOHANNES MENSCHNER TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK]. 20 June, 1966 [2 July, 1965], No. 27393/66. Headings B8C and B8S. The subject matter is the same as that of Specification 1,140,719, but the claims are related to the packaging machine including the feed means for the article to be packaged. The feed means includes a hopper (A), (Fig. 3, not shown), having two side members pivoted at (B) and articulated at their lower edges to a pair of jaws (22, 23) which, together with lateral guide plates (31, 32) are horizontally reciprocable to allow an article in the hopper to drop on to the wrapping material and on to a vertically movable carrier arm (30).
