Abstract
113,961. Desgouttes, P. Feb. 16, 1917, [Convention date]. Valves; valve-gear.-In a four-stroke-cycle engine a reciprocating sleeve valve f has an exhaust port near its upper end, and inlet ports i, i' which register with ports c, b, b<1> respectively, in the cylinder wall the port b being located approximately at half outstroke. Cylinders may be disposed in the form of a V, a single half-speed shaft actuating the valves of all the cylinders.
