[Also in Division E1] Troughing for scraper chain conveyers has at least one side wall as a guide rail for engagement with a plough cutter. Guide flanges 5 of a cutter 2 engage arms 6, 7 of troughing 4 which has a rebate 8 to accommodate the lower flange 5. The section of the troughing at A, B is such as to provide resilience to shock loads. In Fig. 2 (not shown), the cutter is additionally guided by a strip (10) which engages a groove (11) in the upper flange (5).
