[Also in Division A4] A synthetic resin part is attached to a wooden drawer by moulding the part in situ on the drawer, the penetration of the resin into the pores or cells of the wood affording a good bond. In one embodiment, the drawer forms one face of an injection mould and has a nylon runner injection moulded thereon. Long parts may be attached using machines having several injection heads movable relative to each other. Alternatively, a hot compression or a transfer moulding operation may be used.
