[Also in Division B5] In a method of providing a seal about a valve stem and valve guide assembly, a fluorocarbon resin is moulded into the shape of a sleeve under heat and pressure, and is diametrically stretched and placed loosely over the valve guide 32 and is then heated sufficiently to cause it to shrink into tightly fitting engagement about the valve guide.
