[Also in Division C7] Copper-containing aluminium alloys are etched with an aqueous solution of phosphoric acid containing 0À005-0À1% by weight of benzothiazole and 0À5-2À0% of a surface-active agent, e.g. a polyoxyalkylated polyalkalene glycol, or nonyl phenol or a C 16 -C 18 fatty acid condensed with ethylene oxide.
