Abstract
1,128,713. Knitting-machines. CAMBER INTERNATIONAL (ENGLAND) Ltd. 14 Sept., 1967 [12 Aug., 1966], No. 36103/66. Heading D1C. In a multifeed circular machine having a yarn feed and changing mechanism controlled by a pattern drum, and means for over-riding the needle pattern set by a wheel or drum, at each or same feeds, the yarn changer and pattern over-ride are actuated by a common cam. Pivoted yarn fingers 4-7 are actuated by bits 9 set in a drum 8 racked by a pawl 11. The pawl is pivotally mounted in a slide 21 actuated by an arm projecting from the top 22 of a plunger 13. The over-ride device comprises a cleaning cam, movable by a pivoted lever controlled by bits 37 projecting from a drum 36. The drum is also racked by vertical movement of the plunger, controlled by cam face 12a of a selectively operative cam 12. Yarns are severed by a pivoted blade 26 and trapped by gripper 28, both controlled by a common linkage.
