Abstract

1,128,572. Fuses. BASSANI, S.p.A. 12 April, 1967 [12 April, 1966], No. 16834/67. Heading H2G. An electrical fuse comprises a detachable fuseholder having a pair of contacts 32, 33 (Fig. 4), formed by a fuse wire 31 (Fig. 2, not shown) and a housing provided with a spring biased shutter member 6 which is displaced inwardly by entry of the fuse holder until the contacts 32, 33 thereon are engaged by contacts 19, 20. The contacts 19, 20 and members 10, 11 having stop shoulders for the shutter 6 are carried by arms 18 of two U-shaped members. The arms 18 are sprung apart by entry of the fuse holder and spring back when the contacts are fully engaged so that member 6 is held down by members 42, 43. A high resistance lamp 45 may be connected in parallel with the fuse. The chamber containing fuse wire 31 may be filled with powdered quartz.
