Abstract

[Also in Division E2] A bath-enclosing panel 69 is removably supported independently of the bath by releasable fastenings so that a flange 74 rests on a flange 76b of a base member 76 and a flange 75 is beneath the horizontal peripheral flange of the bath 15. The panel 69 is flanged on its vertical edges and has fastenings releasably engaging the fastenings on a perpendicular panel or on a vertical support bracket fixed to the wall. Pins 79 are spring pressed into holes in flange 76b and lip 75a engages behind horizontal peripheral flange 15. The panel along the long side of the bath may be inwardly inclined (Figs. 12 and 16, not shown). A single L-shaped panel may be utilized to co-operate with two adjacent sides of the bath (Fig. 11, not shown). The panels may be adjustable in width (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown) and the height of the base 76 can be altered by means of bolt 77. Condensed moisture running down the inner wall for the panel 69 flows out through holes 80. The panels may be of enamelled sheet steel or plastic with or without glass fibre reinforcement. An acoustic insulating layer may be applied to the inner faces of the panels.
