Abstract

1,127,258. Filter. COMPAGNIE ELECTROMECANIQUE. 21 April, 1967 [25 April, 1966], No. 18469/67. Heading B1D. A filter comprises a vertical cylindrical tank 1 with a perforated bottom 2 which has a sector shaped aperture 3 for removal of matter retained by the perforated bottom 2 and fed to the aperture 3 by a slowly revolving co-axial wheel with vanes 7, and inlet means 5. The wheel with vanes 7 is driven by geared motor 9 and may rest by its own weight on the filter surface and the vanes may rub against the bottom 4 .and sweep the wall of the tank 1 thus breaking down large solid material, especially by shear between the vanes and the inclined edges 6 of inlet nozzle 5.
