The housing 1 of a gas-fired central heating boiler has metal strips 4 welded along the top and bottom edges of both side walls 2, 3 forming guides into which slide flanges 12 on removable auxiliary casing portions 8 which conceal control members 17 such as valves, thermostats &c. The auxiliary casing comprises a side panel 9, top and bottom panels 10, 11 with the flanges 12 and a door 15 held in closed position by a magnetic latch 15a. Front flanges 13 form stops to position the auxiliary portions with respect to the main portion. The flanges 12 may be replaced by rollers on the auxiliary portions.
